Paddi Murphy Corporation, doing business as Softies ("Softies," "we," "us," or "our"), respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have.

This policy applies to softiespjs.com and any related websites, mobile sites, emails, text messages, and social media pages we operate (the "Sites"), and to purchases you make from us. It does not cover purchases made through third-party retailers or marketplaces such as Amazon, QVC, Faire, or our boutique partners, which are governed by those companies' own privacy policies.

By using the Sites, you agree to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us

  • Contact and account details: name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing addresses, and login credentials when you create an account.
  • Order information: products purchased, order history, gift messages, gift card details, and recipient names and addresses for gifts.
  • Payment information: processed securely by Shopify Payments and other payment providers (such as PayPal, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, or Google Pay). We do not store full card numbers.
  • Rewards and referrals: loyalty points through our Yotpo rewards program, birthday (if you choose to share it), and the names and email addresses of friends you refer.
  • Communications: messages you send through Contact Us, email, chat, or social media, plus product reviews, survey responses, and photos you share.
  • Wholesale and affiliate details: business name, contact information, and tax or resale information if you apply for a wholesale or affiliate relationship.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed, products browsed, referring URLs, and time spent on the Sites.
  • Approximate location: derived from your IP address.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: described in Section 3.

Information from third parties

  • Advertising and social media partners (for example, when you interact with our ads or social pages).
  • Affiliate and referral partners who send you to our Sites.
  • Shipping carriers and fulfillment partners (for example, delivery confirmations and updated addresses).
  • Fraud-prevention and address-verification services.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Fulfill orders: process payments, ship products, send order and shipping updates, and handle returns and exchanges.
  • Run your account and rewards: manage your login, loyalty points, referrals, and gift cards.

  • Essential: keep the Sites, cart, checkout, and your account working.
  • Analytics: tools such as Shopify Analytics and Google Analytics (deployed through Google Tag Manager) help us see how visitors use the Sites.
  • Advertising: partners such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google, and Pinterest use pixels to show you Softies ads on other sites and apps and to measure results. This may be considered "targeted advertising" or "sharing" under some state laws.

Your controls

  • Visit our Your Privacy Choices page to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and targeted advertising.
  • Adjust your browser settings to block or delete cookies (some features may stop working).
  • Use our cookie preferences banner, where available.
  • Turn on Global Privacy Control in a supported browser; we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and targeted advertising for that browser.
  • Opt out of interest-based ads through the Digital Advertising Alliance or Google Ad Settings.

Our Sites do not respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals, because no common standard exists for them.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only as described below.

  • Service providers who work on our behalf under contract, including e-commerce hosting and payments (Shopify), order and inventory management, warehousing and fulfillment, shipping carriers (such as USPS, UPS, and FedEx), customer service, email and SMS platforms, reviews and loyalty programs (Yotpo), analytics, and IT and security providers.
  • Marketing and advertising partners, including social media platforms, ad networks, our digital marketing agency, and affiliate networks (such as Impact), to show and measure ads.
  • Payment providers such as PayPal, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, and Google Pay, when you choose them at checkout.
  • Legal and safety: when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Softies, our customers, or others.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business, your information may be transferred to the new owner, who must honor this policy.
  • With your consent or at your direction, such as when you post a public review.

5. Email and Text Messages

  • Email: if you sign up or make a purchase, we may send you news, new arrivals, and offers. Unsubscribe anytime using the link in any marketing email. We'll still send order and account messages.
  • Text messages: if you opt in, we may send recurring automated marketing texts to the number you provide. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help.
  • We do not share your mobile number or SMS opt-in consent with third parties for their own marketing.

6. Your Privacy Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live (including California, Minnesota, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon, and other states with privacy laws), you may have the right to:

  • Know and access the personal information we hold about you, and get a portable copy.
  • Correct inaccurate information.
  • Delete your personal information, subject to legal exceptions (for example, records we must keep for tax purposes).
  • Opt out of targeted advertising, the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, and profiling that produces significant decisions.
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

To keep things simple, we honor these requests from all U.S. customers.

How to make a request

  • To opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising: visit our Your Privacy Choices page. No account or email needed.
  • For all other requests: email info@softiespjs.com or use our Contact Us page with the subject "Privacy Request."
  • We'll verify your identity by matching information you provide with our records before acting on the request.
  • An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with your signed permission.
  • We'll respond within 45 days, or tell you if we need more time as the law allows.
  • If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision with "Appeal" in the subject. If you're unhappy with the appeal outcome, you may contact your state attorney general.

You can also update most account information by logging in to your Softies account.

Sensitive information: we do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information (such as health, precise geolocation, or government ID numbers) and do not use it to infer characteristics about you.

7. Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy, such as maintaining your account, honoring returns and warranties, and meeting legal, tax, and accounting requirements. When it's no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encrypted (SSL) connections and PCI-compliant payment processing. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security. Please keep your account password confidential.

9. Children's Privacy

The Sites are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 where state law applies). If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. International Visitors

The Sites are operated in the United States. If you visit from outside the U.S., your information will be processed and stored in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.

11. Third-Party Links

The Sites link to third-party sites and services, such as social media pages, Faire, and affiliate platforms. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please review their policies.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll post the new version here and change the "Last updated" date. For material changes, we'll give additional notice, such as by email or a notice on the Sites.
